Ready for Fun

I finally finished claims from Seattle except for one that just needs an ok from the insured’s contractor. Finished all of the local work except for one that also needs a contractor’s agreement.

A couple of days ago I was so tired of working inside that I just took an hour break and went out to start the huge mess in the landscaping. Then yesterday went out early and weeded until late afternoon with only a quick lunch break. The front corner is nearly cleaned out, front corner shared with our neighbor is cleaned out and the area in front of our dining room window is substantially cleaned out. I think that I conducted an archaeological dig and unearthed an ancient dry stream bed; no, it is the one that Nate put in a couple of years ago.

I’m having our friend Jerry come, hopefully next week, to survey what is left and tell me what to do with our very bare ground. I tell him that he “can work for lunch”. Problem is he only tells me what I can do then I must do the work. Maybe I’ll withhold his lunch and get him to do the manual labor. Just kidding Jerry!

Getting so much done by now is perfect timing. We will leave this afternoon for Clayton’s in Petaluma after picking up Sunny at 3:30. Justin and family will drive down to Clayton’s and we will all meet tonight. We haven’t seen Clayton and Jen since Christmas and we haven’t seen our little Lucian and mom Jenavieve since early January when we were on our way to Seattle. We have never seen our new little Sequoia, nearly two months old.

On Sat. our friend John will meet up with us and we will attend a play at a local theater in the evening. John is always fun although the guys tend to gang up on me poking fun. I’ll need to get the brain in gear so that I can get them back. I must sharpen the tongue!

I’m looking very forward to a weekend of relaxing and fun.

  1. Have a wonderful trip. Give my best to Clayton and tell him I'm happy to hear he is doing so well.
